Doesn't care about damage dealt. I'd toss on Heart of Light and Entangler in my WG Aura deck. Add a Bloodscent to the mix, and we have some fun shinanigans.

Much better than Deathtouch; this can kill even if it doesn't do damage

when there weren't keyword abilities for effects like this, it was taken great care that abilities stayed as far as possible logical.^^
you get slightly more effective creatures equipped with deathtouch for less mana these days.
