I actually used to love this card back when I was bad at magic. Don't know why. Always liked Life Gain for some reason. I used this in a report (as a cover dealie) in elementary school...

This card saw play back in the day, then Ice Age came out and Zuran Orb trumped it flat out.

This card was a solid tourney card back in the mid-nineties. (So was Jayemdae Tome, for that matter.) Zuran Orb is better, to be sure, but when you start sacrificing land to stay alive, you may not be around for long. This was for those decks that did everything at the end of the opponent's turn. The extra life you ended up with over several turns could decide the game, but who would waste a disenchant on this?

This is the fountain that Jodah hid from the goblins in. It matches the de***ion given in the book.

I used to run this in my red burn deck long ago.
Made a lot more sense when I was 12.

This was a solid card for a kid back in the day. When all we had was 4th edition, chronicles, ice age, and homelands (and fallen empires), what should we have played with? Decks were clunkier, games took longer, extra mana sat around everywhere. This made sense when we were 10, and not just because we were 10.
