I think a better rules text would be "All spells in your hand have Affinity for Stone Calendar."

Not good for duels, but could potentially be useful for multiplayer, when games tend to drag out longer and the cost reduction on all spells could be useful.
The Tempest Medallion cycle or the Familiar cycle from Planeshift are probably better choices, though.

It deserves respect as the first card which reduces the mana cost of all your spells.

Animate Artifact, then kicked Rite of Replication + Comet Storm followed by Braingeyser/Mind Spring...
Going through my collection, it seems I once bought a single The Dark booster, and drew this and Necropolis as the two uncommons. For sure could have been worse.

Great for long games. Looks good in EDH with stuff like Cloudkey and Helm of Awakening to reduce artifact spells to 0 and get to infinite combos.

Not bad if you have 7+ mana cost cards in your deck.

There's probably something dumb that could be done with this, especially if there is a way to get a pile of them into play.

This card reduces the costs for all your spells ... just a sec.. You have to pay 5 before... If you pay 5 life instead, it would make more sense.

@Lord_of_Tresserhorn
the card you're thinking of is Omniscience
granted, X cost spells, but yeah.
