I play with someone who has a bunch of these in his Jund deck. It is always is a pain trying to get rid of his creatures with Fleshbag marauders when this hits the board.

Devour decks lick their lips; nuke these guys and you get MORE fodder instead of less for future Devourers.
And the fun thing is: the colors match perfectly (Red/green/black).

To say I hate this thing is a true understatement. It's a control player's biggest headache to have to deal with three damage coming across not once, but twice.
This thing is such a pain in the arse...and if you let this resolve, be prepared to face a world of hurt.
Tip: If you play blue, have the open mana, and don't Essence Scatter / Flashfreeze this, you, sir, fail.
And when you're playing Jund, you don't even want to waste a Path to Exile this; that's one turn closer to that OTHER giant pain in the arse, Broodmate Dragon.
"Ugh" is a perfectly acceptable response to this hitting the board. So bloody annoying, and one of the primary reasons I hate Jund and can't wait to see it die when Shards rotates this fall. >:V

Turn 1: Bloodhall Ooze
Turn 2: Bloodhall Ooze
Turn 3: Sprouting Thrinax
Turn 4: Scarland Thrinax
Turn 5: Kresh
etc
Once those cards are out just have the bloodhalls get stronger while the sprouters feed the Scarlands and kresh gets stronger from all the eating
Not tournament but at least it doesnt cascade
