Grixis cards have the best artwork, not a bad mana artifact either. Very useful and looks awesome.

Each shard in Alara only knew of the 3 colors of mana on that shard. I think that is why WOTC went with 5 obelisks over the Darksteel Ingot. Also, since darksteel was from Mirroden, that was probablly another reason it was not included in this block.

Because Darksteel Ingot wasn't broken, but you couldn't have printed it in this block.
Still think these should have gotten something a little extra.

This card is vanilla, pure and simple. Useful if you have a method of untapping artifacts, but even then there are probably better mana vehicles out there.

I would have thought that this would be considered the most useful of the cycle. Virtually costs 2 to play, shares 2 colors with Esper and has the best potential for a control deck. Good common mana ramp.
