Really when you compare this to the prodigial pyromancer it's quite good, 1 green mana per 1 token is very decent, especially paired with any untapping device. The other ability is good too, but even without it's still a 2/2 for 3 mana that can tap for a saproling once a turn. Also critical to devour decks.

If I could get my hands on three more of these I would in a heartbeat for my deck (red/green/black). It burns, produces tokens, and is a 2/2 that is perfect for a quick Colossal Might boost. Three options in one card for three mana that was destined for a weenie burn deck. Count me in.
