On its own, this cards so kool because of the panic attack that you give your opponent, but its even awesomer actually GAINING life using this.

Enduring Ideal. Search up Dovescape, then Solitary Confinement, then Honden of Seeing Winds to offset the cards lost by Solitary Confinement, then finally drop this for the win. You'll be near impervious while you do so, too.

That would only work under 5th Ed. rules, and only if you had dropped to 0 during your end phase.
But 6th ed. fixed that. You lose whenever state-based actions are checked which happens whenever a spell finishes resolving. You have no chance to save yourself.

Well, it wouldn't deck you right away, but yes you'd draw 5 cards at the end of each turn.

For EDH I use this in the Zedruu deck and give it away. 5 damage in one turn between 3 or 4 people is pretty easy to manage.
