The art is bad?
Not at all. The antlers are effin cool. Dragons like these are refreshing.

This card combos pretty well with Dragon Broodmother. You can make the saps and feed 'em to Broodmother's dragons.
I love dragons, perhaps too much, and this combo lets you some get pretty monstrous dragons quickly.
Plus, Todd Lockwood is godly and never fails to deliver awesome dragon art!

Doesn't this make exponential tokens if you keep choosing green?

I played Rith against a white life-gain deck, two hits and I had 32 Saprolings because of the commonality of white, then green, in play.

This is a very popular tournament card, the new art kicks major butt, and saprolings in a Naya color card? This is probably the easiest to cast dragon out of the 5 legendary dragons from Invasion, and it has one of the best abilities.

Forgeling, according to Wizards rule 214.1 A permanent is a card or token in play. So, Rith does create exponential tokens. You may know already you get tokens for enchantments in play that share the color also, and multi-colored cards as long as they have the color in their casting cost.
I like to use some elfs and Natural Order to get him out turn 3 (I'm sure there's faster), I've also used skyshroud elves & elvish pipers to get him out.
I think of all dragons, Rith is the best. A 6/6 flyer for 6 mana he's insanely powerful just for that but his ability is one of the most useful and very cheap to trigger, and his trigger is green! Get him out in turn 2 or 3 with natural order/elves you can have enough mana to start his tokens, AND his ability has no negatives. It's not like you have to "give up" the damage or pay life, you do damage AND create tokens so you can have your cake and eat it too. He's also one of the easiest dragons to get out because he's white/green/red.... (see all)
