slow!only 3/3 for a start and for 6 mana,if he had a devour it could be better,still in a jund deck he can be very powerful but in jund there is always something bigger,better and much,much more hungry then this

I would have to disagree. In a Jund color deck, a sacrifice engine (scarland thrinax or spawning pit for example) and a source of token generation (sprouting thrinax, spawining pit, fists of ironwood, morbid bloom, mycoloth) you could immediately start machine-gunning your opponent. With good mana acceleration this could happen turn four or five.

I was just playing a zombie deck today with this guy out and he was pinging creatures ridiculously fast especially since it was a big multiplayer game. I had him out then put down a Lightning Reaver and nobody was happy with me after that point.

In my death deck. This easily makes it to the top of my favorite cards. Quietus Spike, in combo with this card, creates a unlimited amount of killing, as soon as another creature dies first. An since every card in my deck is based on death, this creature grows quickly even without the spike.

if only this and Godhead of Awe wasn't such an awkward combo. tho with blue in grixis it might just work
otherwise all you need is a gorgon flail, or a quietus spike, and this suddenly becomes an infinite kill spell, though shroud sadly gets around it.

You do realize this can instantly wipe the board of all 1/1's when something dies, right? At least all the 1/1's you want to kill. Example: Your creature dies. I put a counter on Deathbringer Thoctar. I remove the counter to kill your 1/1. It died so thoctar gets a counter... rinse and repeat as necessary. Awesome card.
