Wait. So if you use Living Weapon, what happens?
Oh wait, tokens have a converted mana cost of 0.... which means they'd end up with one of Accorder's Shield, Bone Saw, Kite Shield, Paradise Mantle, Sigil of Distinction, or Spidersilk Net, in addition to whatever boosts they used to have.

Sounds interesting. Just have to have some equipment out for it to work. There are a couple of standard decks right now that could make use of this. If you don't have their equipment tutoring and discount casting then be prepared to sac your cheap equipment once you've got something better.
edit- wait this is random as in any equipment in mtg isn't it?
In that case run Kor duelist, kitesail apprentice, sunspear shikari, loxodon punisher and lots of artifact saccing or affinity cards. Affinity would be extraridiculous with each artifact creature coming in with a second artifact attached to it.

Free equipment = good. Starting life penalty hurts the Stonehewer, though.

When paradise mantle was the only 0 drop equipment, it made raging goblins into better birds of paradise. I made a deck that used a lot of creatures with flash and haste to make the most use out the random weapons lying around.
