Goes great with mas s damage spells that burn all players, and anything else that damages it's controller.

@Mode
Check the Oracle for full text.
This card is from Magic Online, and the more you zoom out from the text, the more shorthand it uses. The card pictured here is most likely a screenshot. The card itself is quite wordy with the full oracle, so it shorthands even when its pretty blown up.

"Stuffy Doll Avatar deals damage to you and target opponent = half the damage prevented this way, rounded up."
Writing things down like that is a bad idea.
At least when it's just done on barely any card and nobody is used to it.

Abbreviating words with non-letter signs generally disrupt the reading flow, like using "&" instead of "and" within a sentence.

In this case it's even more confusing since "=" replaced two words (an adjective and a preposition), and although everybody knows what this sign stands for, you'll likely have to read the sentence at least twice to get what it was supposed to mean in this case.

Example:
I know "=" expresses that "things left and right from this sign have an equal value".
"2 + 2 = 4" stands for "2 and 2 equals 4".
So "target opponent = half the damage" means "target opponent equals half the damage"? O___o

Stuffy Doll Avatar needs to be stuffed with less signs and more distinct words.

Flame Rift is a good choice. You typically aren't worried about opponents damaging you on your own turn, especially not turn 2, so you wouldn't be using it that turn anyways, and it becomes a cheaper version of Ball Lightning.

Char is another good choice. Stuffy Doll doesn't make it uber-broken, but it's a great card to start with and you're halving the downside.

You could probably make a pure burn deck work with just the Doll.
