This is part of Fallen Empires's cycle of super weakened "boons" (after the Alpha ones). So weakened that they are almost unrecognizable as based on that original cycle. This one was giant growth.

I wonder if it would have worked this way:
Elven Lyre Casting Cost {2}
Artifact
{2}, {T}: Target creature gets +2/+2 until end of turn. At end of turn, sacrifice Elven Lyre.
Just so that you have a chance to activate it multiple times through untap effects, and then at the end of the turn you sacrifice it.
Seems like an interesting card design. The original is a little impractical for my tastes, however.

Not terrible, if at common, but again, as stated above, the whole point of Giant Growth is to surprise your opponents... yeah.

Pointless. The fun of Giant Growth is that nobody saw it coming. This has no surprise value.

I dunno, this would surprise me if it were played in a mono-blue deck.
Not as much as someone playing Giant Growth in a mono-blue deck, mind you.
