Lands like these are an obvious trade-off, and whether or not it is useful for you should be determined by your personal play preferences.
But there's one problem: they're non-basic, which is almost always a liability, and limits synergy with other cards. Yet you could also argue that they prevent landwalk, so... Whatever. Take it if you like it.

In all seriousness, this is a white card that can cause lategame ramp. It's not bad if you don't run too many, even though Remote Farm generally outclasses it.
