This, Slimy Kavu, and Spreading Algae along with things to tap lands could be fun.

May have its uses in a red/black deck or with swampwalk albeit a bit weak.

Instead of this, go black with Nightcreep and use Corrupt. My opponent nearly cryed.

The Oracle text has the wrong flavor text for this card. This is a surprisingly common issue.

There's no better way to make things swampy than Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, now. Uncounterable, very hard to remove, and it costs no mana - heck, it even makes mana!
Still, Orcish Farmer is strictly funnier.
