I had no idea one of the key components of a time bomb was a skeleton holding a dodgeball.

I have one in my league, and it's pretty strong; albeit, I will often blow it up at two counters to help clear the board. If it hits the table early, it can be used as a reset button for later. It's no Powder Keg, but I'd rather have a goofy card that my friends can't complain about than Nevinyrral's Disk.

I like that it doesn't even give you the choice of putting a counter on it.
No mortal man can stop the flow of time...
But it does let you control the bomb part.

Strictly not comparable at all.

This card rather incidentally handled with counters that later became more frequently used, but it's up to you to make use of accordant cards to make use of this fact, e.g. with cards like
Timebender, Jhoira's Timebug, Clockspinning and most notably Timecrafting.
This will hopefully create a devasting Volcanic Fallout effect.
Yet this card might not be too playful after all.

Question regarding damage order ruling.. If you detonate the TIme Bomb for enough damage to kill all creatures, and both players, does the damage occur simultaneously to creatures and players? More specifically, if you had an Ali from Cairo in play, would his ability save you from dying, even though the Ali will die.
If that isn't enough, is it possible to manipulate Fortune Thief to prevent lethal damage? For instance, does paying the morph cost count as an activated instant in response to the damage being dealt against the facedown 2/2?
I realize that this could all be sidestepped just by using a Glacial Chasm or something, but it's just so much more fun trying to manipulate the battlefield this way.
