@metalviolence: During the initial Ice Age block you could run as many basic snow-covered lands as you wanted. Since they did and still do qualify as basic lands there was no limit to the number of them you could have in one deck. That's why this card saw some play, seeing as it could come out late-game as a large enough blocker to stop whatever beast your opponent was trying to do you in with.
Anyway, it's not bad exactly, but it's only useful in Snow decks and even then the cost is probably 1CMC too high. It's also a bit out-of-color if you ask me: a wall having its power and toughness determined by your land count strikes me as more of a Green ability, not Black. Ahh, the days before Color Pie....

These Fast and Furious sequels are just getting weirder.

Why isn't this a skeleton wall like wall of bone? Shame... it would work well with rimebound dead too in a skeleton deck too. Yay for the death baron!

now that you can run all snow-covered lands, it's not bad, but back in ice age, how terrible this would have been makes me shudder

I would rate this low because it can't attack... Also too expensive, but not too bad.

Why would you rate this low?
Just through using snow lands you get a defender that gets bigger and bigger the more mana you put out.

Pretty good in an all-snow deck.
