The Dual-lands were always hugely powerful, but they kicked into overdrive when the Fetchlands came along.

are you KIDDING me!!? nobody cares whatsoever about landwalking in legacy. like literally the least of their worries. they don't even have enough creatures on the board to barely care about blocking in the first place. the scary thing is fetchlands.

The same thing they wre thinking when they made black lotus. No one knew much about this game back then. Things were often either hugely overpowered, or hugely underpowered.

What were they thinking when they made this card? Didn't they understand the repercussions of making a dual land with no drawbacks?

And price of progress, the only red burn worth playing in legacy.

On a side note, I can't wait until all duels are $200+ per. Magic is going to either kill legacy, ban duals (unlikely), or allow proxies like vintage soon because of their reserved list. I think Legacy is the best format ever, and allot more people are becoming more and more interested in it, and because of that, Legacy is going to die soon or changes will have to be made.

Technically, there IS a drawback. It counts as both islands and swamps. So, cards that hurt either of those lands will hurt you (think Tsunami and Karma). I don't agree with them discontinuing these cards. There are PLENTY of cases where one card is clearly superior to another. Black Lotus is on a totally different level than dual lands.

Also see Tropical Island, Scrubland, Savannah, Plateau, Bayou, Taiga, Volcanic Island, Tundra, and Badlands.

Also, this one card makes you susceptible to islandwalk, swampwalk, and the most terrifying walk of all: non-basic landwalk. Once upon a time this was a bit overpowered, but it's not so bad anymore.
