Love this card, especially after you've just tapped out after a few lightning bolts or whatever and your opponents sitting there with a couple life points left.

this is a potent game winner that puts fast red decks over the top. doing that last four damage, tapped out, as an instant, has ended many games for RDW.

i've used it on my first deck and its a great help to kill your opponent surprisingly. your opponent would be at ease knowing your mana pool is all used up not knowing you still have your ace card left uncast at the cost of sacrificing two mountains...Fireblast!...BANG!!! :) he's dead...
how i wish this card would be reprinted on the upcoming expansions :)

With Fork unrestricted, having 4 of those and 4 copies of this in a burn deck is just plain unfair.
That said, killing someone who starts their turn with 8 life or less for the price of 2 Mountains is just plain classy.

Not the most versatile burn but still, elite stuff! This is so bloody effective and surprising. Top 5 burn spells: Lightning Bolt, Incinerate, Fireblast, Pyrokinesis and Fork.

The art doesn't look much like a Blast of Fire to me. Looks more like a Volley of Shards.
Regardless, top-quality card. My favorite combination is with Fork/Reverberate. Opponents never expect you to hit them for 8 in one turn when you have only 2 mana available. 2 Lightning Bolts, a Fireblast and a Fork for 4 mana and 14 damage is a thing of beauty.

I can't even begin to count the number of times this card has won me the game either through tapping out for burn spells launched at the face and finishing them off with these, or as a surprise win just when my opponent thinks they're about to win and announce an alpha strike.
This card is so much fun.
