Really like this card. Night's Whisper that can target an opponent to shock them if needs be? Great stuff for mono-black.

A much-needed cheap card draw with some quintessential blackness. Money.

I'd take the pain in any control deck.

This card is crazy good, both for your own acceleration and for putting a hurt on an opponent, especially if you have Underworld Dreams in play.

Ow. Hurts to look at. Great artwork.

It's unfortunate that this is probably the best spell that m10 has to offer control in the Pauper format, but even then I don't see it adding to Blue-centric control since it's a sorcery. Probably it will just bolster mono-black, which doesn't need any help. I'm pretty disappointed with m10 commons overall. Deckbuilders that know what they're doing probably already know that storm is getting it's best spell since Manamorphose, and it's best piece against control ever. Aggro and burn are getting Lightning Bolt. I think this card will bolster decks that rely on Crypt Rats, Corrupt, and Tendrils, and countermagic is mostly just getting the shaft.

Fun card that fills multiple roles. Look for lands, threats, or do the last two damage.

This is actually even better than many people think it is. Card draw at 2 mana really smooths out your draws and lets you play fewer lands.

It's really good, but I like Night's Whisper better. Might as well just use both of 'em!
