I love Disentomb personaly. It is great being able to effectivly run 8 raise deads in standard if you really want, or 2 in EDH.

Being able to return that key creature to your hand after its been countered or destroyed for only Black is not a bad deal at all. Though I personaly prefer unearth, though the zombie deck I use unearth in has no creature with cmc over 4.

All in all Disentomb/Raise Dead is a good card, a staple in black.

They got rid of remove soul because you can not remove a soulless one's soul. =)

i play zombies and still use carrion feeders with festering goblins. disentomb and the older raise dead can be used in combo with these two to make a nifty little hand dance. it snipes better and pumps up the carrion feeder even more, it's simple but clever for a 2 mana combo. not to mention it also works well if you have a noxious ghoul out (-1/-1 to all nonzombies when a zombie comes into play)

Remove Soul just simply sounded like a black card, not a blue counterspell...They replaced Raise Dead because Raise Dead infers a Zombify-like ability, not this ability...

not sure what's with all the remakes in 2010. Some of them made sense (mind control over Persuasion, etc) But i'm not sure why they decided Raise Dead needed a clone. For that matter, what was wrong with Remove Soul?
