I think it's funny when reminder type text on older cards like this one point out possible strategies haha.
I could actually see this being useful in my green/red deck haha, target Kird Ape then give it Might of Oaks. But for the 3 casting cost? Probably not great.

The original combo was with Dragon Whelp.

Just a guess, but the flavor may be that he digs a tunnel for another creature to go through to attack your opponent, and the tunnel can't fit creatures above a certain size. Can be a very effective card, in my experience.

Interesting card, I do not understand the flavor behind this card, however it was useful for some combat tricks back in the day, especially with Howl from Beyond.

This might be the only Dwarf that ever saw play outside of a joke deck.
(If you search for creature subtype "Dwarf" you'll see why.)

Strictly worse than Goblin Tunneler. And Goblin tunneler isnt very playable unless you have the right cards to go with it.

Strictly better Beard than Goblin Tunneler.
(Also not strictly worse normally as it can be run in Dwarf tribal! :P)

A decent card for its time - too bad Dwarves basically died out.

Nifty enough but a bit expensive. Pick another creature, give it Firebreathing and that's basically how this was supposed to work.
Flavour is very nice though.
