@rubber
1 extra damage can decide if you win or lose, for example, if Raging Goblin didn't have haste, he couldn't deal the 1 extra damage you say is so useless (fastfoward in the game) your opponent has 2 heallth because Raging Goblin didn't have haste, you attack so they have 1 health, you end your turn. They draw Near-Death Experience, game over. But if Raging Goblin had done haste damage, your opponent would aready have 1 health left, you woul attacck and win before your opponent drew Near- Death Experience,do you still think 1 damage still doesn't matter?

Hits the field running and just doesn't stop. A staple in every goblin deck ever.

Ah Raging Goblin...This guy was my first goblin ever. I played him on turn one so many times that my friends usually just started the game with 19 life and told me to just put my guy down. I was sad when I took them out for...Goblin Warchief or Mogg War Marshall or something.

Now free with chancellor of the forge. The 1 damage is doable early game if you go first, but there are better choices in goblin guide if you got the scratch ;)
The flavortext is quite enjoyable; this card was perfect for me when I started magic as BOY did I get upset a lot :)

One of my personal all-time most hated cards. Not because it's good: quite the opposite. It's actually practically one step up from Eager Cadet and yet people say that it's great. Well, I think that it's a mediocre goblin 1-drop whose awfulness is hidden by the fact that it's a goblin and that it appears to be a slightly worse version of Goblin Guide, an actually good card.
What does this card really do that a vanilla 1-drop goblin does? Possibly get in 1 free damage if you play him on an early turn. Later on he's a terrible draw since his haste matters even less then because you'll likely have a goblin lord that gives out haste already, and aside from the haste he's just a vanilla 1/1, which is hardly consequential outside from all the bonuses it gets from being a goblin. That 1 free damage is rarely going to make the difference in the game.
Meanwhile, there are tons of other 1-drop goblins that have abilities that can actually win you the ... (see all)
