Now if they'd only make some White Angels that cost between 1-4 mana as they have vampires so one could do White Angel decks now that black vampire decks are possible...
I wish they could have made it's mana cost duel black & a 2/2 lifelink... But whateva; yeah a nice card but I find myself using the Gatekeeper of malakir over her. I find the gatekeeper and Nighthawk are just nasty!!
Child of Night is GREAT for it's cost no doubt though! Just how qucikly/easily she takes leathal damage as a two drop.....
Now if the ability was 'death touch', I wouldn't say a word lol.

Very solid card, ESPECIALLY for a common (how are people seriously not getting that point?).
I played 4 of this, Nighthawk, Hideous End, and others in a Pestilence deck. Beat face early game to unbalance the life totals and then Pestilenced the hell out of everything.

Fragile, yet solid.
Four please.
Oh, and four Vampire Nocturnus too.
Oh and lest I forget, four Blade of the Bloodchief's as well.

This card is better than it looks. Not bad at all for an early game creature.

It's a reprint of a Hecatomb Card! http://www.wizards.com/hecatomb/ht_autocard.asp?name=night_child
Okay, seriously, a 2/1 for 2 with lifelink is a solid card and you could so much worse in black.

Is the artists' name seriously Ash Wood? That's awesome!
Anyways, this isn't as bad in the right kind of deck, right now I'm building a deck that doesn't mind killing itself, and this'll work great.
