Awesome flavor, and useful against my friend who loves playing vampire decks.
It's a shame the second ability doesn't do three damage. If it did, it could be chucked at Vampire Nighthawk!

Hmm... you guys, read the rulings. It can deal damage to Kor Firewalker, but you can't target him if it's equipped to a red creature. Having it as an equipment really limits its usefulness - after all, if you have a different colored creature to equip this on, then you probably have an easier way of dealing with protection without resorting to inefficient artifact damage.

Tthis is the only burn spell that Trinket Mage can tutor. In the right deck, a tutorable burn spell (limited as it is,) might still be worth considering. Pyrite Spellbomb trumps it in that area, though.

This is an amazingly designed card! Not only is the flavor awesome, it's also very well-balanced. It's a nice bonus against black decks playing those creatures, and in any other case it's slightly overcosted colorless burn!

Me: So Frankenstein's Monster, may I call you Frank?
Frank: *grunts*
Me: Frank thanks for showing up on such short notice.
Frank: *nods* *grunts*
Me: Tell me Frank, how do you feel about Blazing Torch.
Frank: FIRE BAD!!!!!!111one
Well, you heard it here first folks. See you next week when we get Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder's take on how he really feels about Derelor.

Could still see play in limited. It's basically a Moonglove Extract with different timing.
