I like this. Nice card to help turn the tide.

Cankerous Growth is often a bit better, though a bit more expensive. Still a good card.

What is wrong with you guys?! This came out in the invasion block (by far the best block ever, balanced and flavorful) All these other cards came AFTER This one, so you should be comparing them to it, not comparing it to them. Learn your history.
Oh, and this is the most efficient of them all based on effect and cost. although leeching bite can be ran mono along with cankerous growth, both have some odd downsides. leeching bite has too small of effect, and cankerous growth is a bit too much for a combat trick.
One last thing, schismotivate is a completely different type of card. So, not too much of a chance for comparison.
Overall, I would use this the most, leeching bite second and cankerous growth last due to its odd fit in a curve this would be good with.

An excellent card, can often result in a 2-for-1 by killing one of his creatures right off, then boosting one of your creatures to kill his blocker. And the -2/-2 gets around indestructibility and regeneration. Very strong but not broken.

Like Leeching Bite but more so, with black. I would probably pay one extra mana to double the effect, unless I was using a pure green deck.

Superb card, its simple yet effective in both mechanic and flavor. It really does signify the beliefs of black/green; death to one in exchange for increased vitality to another.

Very similar to Schismotivate, but in different colors and trades some Power modifier for Toughness modifier.

Like Schismotivate, but it's better because it can actually kill a creature.
