I started drafting Roe not long ago, and ignored this hairy monster till i was on the receiving end of a 6+ power unblockable creature. No longer do i ignore this BOMB in limited, and he has helped me finish games turn 5/6 consistently. A must pick, even if its just to hate draft it. 4.9/5

This thing is incredible. Even on its own, it kicks huge amounts of tail. Any significant combat boost will make this guy unblockable.

He would have been good without the first ability, but as printed he's just epic. So easy to build a deck around too, since he's in a set full of Totem Armor enchantments and so close to Kor Spiritdancer.

Yeah guys, uber pick in limited. I have a deck built around four of these guys and some serra angels, it works pretty well, you know doing 8 unblockable damage on turn four, nothin special. In fact, I wouldn't count this guy out in constructed. I'm (re)building a deck around him and he can be sooo fast with the right support, Birds of Paradise, canopy cover, boar umbras, get him to a really high power really quick, induce damage, fling him to do serious (lethal) damage. I used to play white with it but serra angels, whilst a really good beat stick, are too slow. Every spell is 3 or less, with the exception of bear umbra, which accels mana.

I love Aura Gnarlid. I've built three decks around the guy. Sangrite Backlash, a metric crap ton of Umbras, or my "Played It Once And Thought It was Too UnCool" combo of Unholy Strength and Phyresis
I have to agree with zk3 and the others. Enchantresses, Canopy Cover, all vital to run him with. He easily turns scary.
Also, what the heck, he's some kind of dog bear unicorn hybrid?
