Killed my Eldrazi dead at least twice during the prerelease - a much needed answer to the bombs du jour. Very nice.

I am glad to see this reprinted. I can't wait to put this to use again.

Yup... I don't think a lot of people realized that you can declare a blocker then cast this before combat damage is assigned. All of sudden Eldrazi Spawn can take down an actual Eldrazi...

@ Zulp: Pitfall trap can target creatures you might not be able to block because of spells or abilities.

I was wondering about that. So my blocker doesn't suffer any damage before this is played? That's fantastic. This would do great things in my control deck. It'll certainly scare your friends away from attacking you, on occasion.
EDIT: If this is the case, then is there any way that this doesn't beat the crap out of Pitfall Trap in almost all instances?

An excellent kill card for white, both in flavor and in function. While I myself enjoyed running Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares, I agree that for an unconditional removal is a far bit too powerful. But under conditional circumstances pertaining to the color, function, flavor, and theme, this card shows what white should be about when it comes to the code of combat. I loved Loyal Sentry and Righteousness, and this card makes any of your little summons just as loyal and righteous.
Cyril Van Der Haegen has shown pretty epic art in the past (Circu, Dimir Lobotomist being one of my favorites) and Smite is not an exception. The positioning of the Kor in relation to the Minotaur displays a powerful composition coupled with a strong sense of colors and values in the surrounding elements. Focusing the lighter colors past the Minotaur and the duller colors... (see all)

Somebody else already said this, but this is hilarious with Curtain of Light.
