It's a nice card, especially in Limited. I'd say its on par, or just a bit worse than Rusted Relic, since with Metalcraft, this is a 4/6 for 4, and the Relic is a 5/5 for 4, so the Relic's only a bit better there, I'd say, without Metalcraft, this is a 2/4 for 4, and the Relic is a hunk of junk, so the Warden is way better there. The only reason I think the Relic's better overall is that it contributes to Metalcraft itself.

3.5/5

If you though Oaken Brawler was an acceptable 19th or 20th card in your draft deck, you will LOVE this guy. That's all of us, right?

The art is nice, but the mediocrity of the ability makes me sad. If he was a 4/6 and Metalcraft gave him vigilance or lifelink or any other white flavoured keyword, he would be a viable card in constructed, rather than limited garbage.

Sure his stats are good, and he's got some nice Vorthos flavor going. But the more I think about Metalcraft, the more I find it a depressingly unnecessary mechanic; they could have made this an Artifacts Matter set easily enough just by giving it three times the usual number of artifacts, they didn't need an ability word on top of that. And while some of the metalcraft cards, like Argent Sphinx and Kuldotha Phoenix and Rusted Relic and Blade-Tribe Berserkers and even Auriok Edgewright, manage to do interesting things with the metalcraft (albeit mostly things that could easily be done with some other, more interesting balancing factor), this one just has size, and is less interesting with that size than Carapace Forger. All told, I find this card's blandness incredibly sad.

This card has delusions of mediocrity in limited and is utterly ignored in constructed.

One of the worst metalcraft creatures. Overall, very mediocre. He really needs vigilance or lifelink.

3 turns is enough to setup metalcraft, if you've got right artifacts. Without it he's mediocre. Even though 4/6 for 3 White is good, some extra ability like vigilance or lifelink would be appreciated too... m-craft is situational, after all.

I used to be able to get a 3/3 elephant for Green, why are they getting gimped?

Good card in sealed, where the big backside will prove difficult for opponents to remove (and Power 4 is nothing to sneeze at). Best if you've pulled Memnites and Accorder's Shields. In constructed, it wouldn't see play at a competitive level.
