This is like a better version of Sanctum Gargoyle. It's one more, and it's more mana intensive, but all in all, you'll be gaining probably on average 3 life and getting an artifact back from your graveyard. Then it can hit for three overhead on the next turn. Not bad at all.

@UNBAN_SHAHRAZAD It is. Hippo means horse. Hippopotamuses are water horses, so Hippogriffs are griffin horses.
