OK, forget all the combos, forget all the exotic cards it's great against, and just look at it in a simple situation. Let's say that your opponent is playing multiple colors, and is a little low on one of his land types. That's not all that unusual, is it? Well, take out whatever land he's only got one of, and his annoying slight mana screw turns into a cripplingly significant mana screw. That's why this card is mythic-worthy.

I can't think of any good reason not to play this in a non-affinity artifact deck. But then again I'm not trying very hard to think of a reason because this card owns.

Crucible of Worlds + Grazing Gladeheart + Fastbond + Strip Mine. take out your opponent's land base & gain life equal to their # of lands

I absolutely LOVE this card.
Play it with elves and crucible of worlds and you really won't have to worry about that land coming into play each turn, you'll have all the mana you'll need.

Yes, play Crucible of Worlds and you can destroy an opponent's land every turn! But this might keep you from playing basic lands or other lands, so just use Fastbond and wipe out all your opponent's lands!
