How can one not like the art on this? John Avon does some of the best land art in Magic, and this piece is definitely no exception. The colors are really vibrant and the foiling works well to give the art a nice depth.
I know a lot of people like the old art "because nostalgia", much like how I prefer the old art on Temple Garden, but this art definitely isn't a downgrade in any way.

I'll give this a 4/5 for its potential, because there are several reasons that keep me from giving it a 5.
1) Taps for colorless
2) You have to sacrifice a land of your for one of theirs, which can work out for you most of the time, but...
3) In a 2+ color deck, I would hate to keep a 2 land hand (or even 3 land if the draw is bad), with this as one of my lands, because I might not be able to sacrifice it, and it is denying me a color I might need.
However, it doesn't enter tapped, and its combo potential along with its general ability to wreck your opponents plans will get a 4/5 from me, because this is no perfect card by any means imo
