Using this on a creature with double strike would probably work well also. After the first hit, you've got a counter and can slap the +1/+1s down for the second hit!

faster than Beastmaster Ascension..+4/+4 surprise when you need it.

a nice quest, a strong pump and you notice it takes one of your creatures well beyond a lightning bolt range

Development worked a lot on the quests.

First this was a one mana common quest

G
Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, put a quest counter on CARDNAME. Remove five quest counters from CARDNAME and sacrifice it: Gain 10 life.

This was OK, but not great, so we tried to change it up. We changed this from "enters the battlefield" to "cast" to make this a reward for creature decks instead of token decks. Ultimately we moved that trigger to white, and created Quest for the Holy Relic.

Still we needed a green quest. So we made an uncommon one mana quest:

Whenever a creature you control deals combat damage to another creature, put a quest counter on CARDNAME. Remove three quest counters from CARDNAME and sacrifice it: put three +1/+1 counters on target creature.

The problem was that this quest never kicked in. You needed creature combat three times, and you needed to put your opponent in a position to have creature combat with yo... (see all)

This card is very good. The first time that someone plays at the prerelease I was thinking that this card had a typo and had to need more counters.

So, very good, play it if you play green in sealed.

inb4 someone else brings up the combo between this and Joraga Warcaller from worldwake.

Much cheaper then pumping him up with multikicker, and will be a standard legal combo
