Let's say you have 5 allies out and play this guy, that's 6 damage, not too shabby. Then you drop a join the ranks, and if I understand it right, this will make this guy trigger twice with 8 damage each time= 16 damage in total, enough to kill even emrakul. I'm amazed this guy is only uncommon, he is so amazing he deserves rare status, cannot wait to get a couple of these and see my opponent's face when I start burning his creatures every time I play an ally.

You know, the come-into-play allies are nice, but never really reflected the whole adventuring party flavour, to me. Not enough party conflict, clearly. Or creatures that keep forgetting to bring their power/toughness blocks with them, but it's okay because they brought booze and pizza. Or allies who've minimized their toughness so they can boost their power to absurd levels. So, a cycle of 12/1 that deal damage to other allies in play, and have all their abilities written on a napkin that comes with the card. There's your accuracy.

cool ability, but even for an ally, i think this guy is overcosted

Meh... seems a bit overcosted for my liking. Allies don't seem overly strong in this set...

This guy is a nice powerful, albeit late-game, Tim (basically a more powerful Prodigal Pyromancer). His job is clearing the board.

@ Sorxores
Are you talking about Hagra Diabolist? That card can't ping creatures, it only causes opponants to lose life. However, Hagra and Murasa are very powerful when used together and/or with multiple copies of them on the battlefield.

More than 1 Murasa on the field can generate an interesting choice: "Do I want to kill off a few of my opponant's smaller creatures, or team up against his/her big stompy monster?"

Way overcosted. By the time you get this guy out, your opponent's gonna have something like a Terra Stomper, who's not going to be scared of the 2 or 3 points of damage. For that much mana, they should've at least given you a choice of target creature or player.

Interesting to see where these allies will end up in the up and coming sets. I give this card a 5 just for the art alone! This guy just looks ready to pwn some noobs!

when you compare this one (that cost 6 mana to deal damage to creature only) to the black one that for 5 damage deal damage to target creature or player. With the same power and toughness? both are uncommon. I just can't understand.

Dont forget that this card is when it, or another ally enters the battlefield, thinking of all of the low cost allies, in a well built deck, turn two is one ally, turn three, another, turn four, two more, (making five) one more for good measure next turn, putting six allies onto the field, then this guy to put a seventh, and deal seven damage to something. I play an ally deck, and at first i wanted it to be a player option too, but the swarm allies can be capable of would just be absurd at that point.

I use it and it's saved me from admonition angels and such. ( my ally deck is 5 color mana ramp ) so it doesn't Have alot of room for deletion. That's where he fits in. Assuming u have JUST him out, ( in which case plz remake your ally deck ) play join the ranks , 2 lightning bolts. If you have 2-4 allus tht's gonna be 3-5 damage, then, again, w/ join the ranks 4-6 damage twice.

The only problem is it's casting cost, I'd say {3}{R}{R} would be better, or if it said 'target creature or player'

Gatherer works better in the Companion app!
