r-e-meatyard is right. I started playing MtG in the fourth grade in 1995. Burn was arguably the most competitive strategy for a kid on a budget. We also had Incinerate and later Fireblast. I remember reading about Hammer of Bogardan in Scrye, but it was rare and my group didn't get very excited about Mirage anyway. Man I loved me some Visions though, but I digress...
