A great card, with simple art describing what it is. The best X direct damage spell ever printed...

Can you imagine the craziness of an environment this, Lightning Bolt, and Disintegrate all at common? That's Alpha through 4th ed!

Fourth Edition was a safer time for Red. :D

Rolling Thunder is more efficient for more than one target.

And that early environment does more to explain Wall of Stone than just about anything else.

Strictly better than The Ultimate Nightmare of Wizards of the Coast Customer Service.

r-e-meatyard is right. I started playing MtG in the fourth grade in 1995. Burn was arguably the most competitive strategy for a kid on a budget. We also had Incinerate and later Fireblast. I remember reading about Hammer of Bogardan in Scrye, but it was rare and my group didn't get very excited about Mirage anyway. Man I loved me some Visions though, but I digress...

The burner that all burners are compared to. You played against Red, you knew this was coming.
