On all other planes, humans and similar creatures with high intelligence rule in politics. In Mercadia, the Kyren conspiracy causes Goblins to hold all high-ranking political positions. The human in the foreground is probably the Magistrate, their puppet ruler.

I miss the good old days, when you could name any creature type. Now, no more army of sausage-people.
I weep.

It is no longer possible to crush your enemy with an army of Uncle-Istvans. Creature type updates are killing Magic.
As for the card, very good for combo-mad Johnnies; very overcosted and light on function for literally-mad Spikes.

Use Scion of the Ur-Dragon to pull out any creature card in my deck? Don't mind if I do.

The function/flavour/artwork combination here is lost on me. It's a cool card and all, but how does a conspiracy fundamentally change the various Mercadians' races.
Also the art seems to depict some bureaucrat or royal dismayed that there's a goblin orgy happening on his couch.
EDIT: @VDZx
Thanks for the info, just did a search for all cards with "Kyren" in their name or text box. Pretty cool stuff... I stopped playing around Tempest and returned around Innistrad... I miss the old story telling sometime.
