If you're feeling silly enough to double-Dark Ritual it out turn one, you can really cripple your opponent, though.

A bit overpriced for what it does. However, discard decks rarely have high costing discard spells so this might actually be worthwhile if your game drags on.

Not complete trash, but close, as far as rares go. You'd expect to see this at common for what it does.
For the record, it doesn't restrict you to taking nonlands like a lot of cards do, but at five mana...

As much as you can rationalize discarding any two cards (since discarding lands became taboo in the recent years), you're probably better off with a Mind Sludge, Monomania, or, heaven forbid, Wit's End. Why discard two when you can discard all?...
Well, because this costs 2 less. Huh.

If you are running a discard deck and rely on using this; your discard deck sucks. By turn five your opponent should have NO cards in hand.
