Megatheriums were monstrous, van-sized prehistoric sloths in real life. Why they're hanging out in Mercadia now, have gaping holes for mouths and are sporting luscious, well-conditioned locks; we'll never know. They're still cool, though.
He would've been a strong card if he was just , too.

Drafted one of these at my local MM release sealed deck tournament back when. I was so happy I got a "cheap" 4/4 trampler, haha.

Good 3-drop beatstick in a Torpor Orb deck.

I guess could be good in a mono green aggro with a whole lot of one drops...I don't love it, though.

Run with Baubles and other slow-trips. While you're waiting on your draws, which were free, you can drop him without drawback.
True that torpor orb would work, but at that rate you're probably going the dreadnought way.

If you can unload your hand by turn 3 - 4 then why not run this? Good luck against Wrath of God though.
But, the curve right now is 4/4 trample for 4 cmc, I dont feel shaving off is worth the drawback.
