On the other hand, in an almost creatureless deck this will dump your deck into your graveyard, which has useful applications.

This has skullclampish applications. I can see this doing some wonderful shenanigans with Ashnod's Altar and a ton of cheap colorless creatures.
It also seems randomly good in combination with everything that has an ETB (or LTB) trigger and a sacrifice/echo/fading/vanish-effect.
E.g. Bone Shredder

this is great card advantage in a sacrifice deck, get assured a creature card, and note that dumping everything else into your graveyard does not have to be a cost. Flashback maybe? Throwing lands into your graveyard is useful too

Wow, this thing is utterly broken. So easy to make it "draw your deck and play everything for free" (Say with Ashnod's Altar). Well you have to sacrifice them all, but something as simple as 1x Bogarden Hellkite + 1x Emrakul (to reuse the dragon) in your deck wins you the game outright. Even without something like the Altar, a Nantuko Husk can easily grow to 20/20 in a single turn - just fill your deck with token generators (or better yet, Eldrazi token generators, as they pay all the mana costs for you).
I'm surprised I didn't even know this card. I don't think this was considered broken back then, when things like Tolarian Academy and Parallax Tide were Standard-legal.

Am I really the first to mention Dredge? This card is awesome in Dredge.

Goes crazy-infinite with Aluren and Ashnod's Altar.
Is Australian for beer.
5/5.

If you use Haunted Crossroads in response to the creature dying, you can put it right back in your hand for with Foster.

Eldrazi tokens read: draw the next creature card in your library, dump the rest.
In an all (almost all) creature deck with eldrazi token creature generators this is a formidable card advantage.
