Would a spell that does damage with storm on it such as Grapeshot put more than one quest counter on the enchantment since it is copied with storm and does damage more than once?

"Why wait until 4 spells are cast to copy a spell when you can just cast Reverberate instead?"
'Cause you 're doing it wrong.

Creature-based damage (a Tim or two, preferably Gelectrodes, which is my personal favourite, or Goblins) will fill it with quest counters. Then it will be cracked to double the damage dealt by all your creatures and burn spells.

Actually, two of those quests fully prepared are a win condition almost by themselves...

As for the Storm mechanic, Grapeshot fits perfectly. Storm spells are separate from one another, not only rewarding you with a counter per point of damage dealt, but also allowing you to crack the quest as soon as it's reached four counters, doubling the output of the rest.

Favourite Turn 2 win:
1) Desperate Ritual.
2) Seething Song.
3) Cast 2 Quests.
4) Grapeshot.
5) Crack... (see all)

A 6 point Lightning Bolt is nice!

Furnace of Rath and Double Strike creatures just got a new best friend. Marisi's Twinclaws or Ridgetop Raptor would deal 32 points of damage with both in play! Sweet!

Why doesn't this work on planeswalkers with combat damage? Big surprise wizards just made an arbitrary decision to keep the chase cards viable.

But this card is a bomb, especially when you get multiples. Opponent was at 12 from a goblin rush, I had two of these primed and ready, I cast two spells, and Cinder Pyromancer killed him. Didn't even have to attack.

Quest For Pure Flame! Quest For Pure Flame! Lightning Bolt! Ball Lightning! Empty out my hand annihilatively! Gloat prematurely!

Opponent: Angel's Grace

... topdeck three mountains with opponent at 1 life ... ah Magic, you fickle mistress

Pantheon - Marisi's Twinclaws or Ridgetop Raptor would only deal 16 damage each, if you had both Furnace of Wrath and Quest for Pure Flame in play & activated.

2 dmg * 2 (Furnace) * 2 (Quest) = 8 damage, with double strike, so another 8 = 16 total.

So does that apply to all sources you control that would deal damage that turn?

the way i understand it is it doubles any source of damage you control for a turn, making it a great finisher in a burn deck

@Saha:
The damage doubling bonus applies to all sources (any source that deals damage) you control until the end of turn.

Does the ability that increases its counters apply to all sources of damage that are dealt. For example, I cast Duress while having two Megrims in play and I successfully make my target discard a card. They would take 2 damage from each Megrim. Would that put two counters on this card?
