Actually Sidek, you CANNOT choose the same target. Look at the text and the ruling of Cone of Flame. An example of being able to target the same thing would be Seeds of Strength.

I think a lot of people don't understand how this card works. 4.5/5 minimum.
Do some math and you'll see the potential behind this card.
I picked up 4 of these for $4.50. I think if this card was better understood, they would be selling for 10 bucks a piece.

Why does this have a lower rating than fireball? This thing is superior to fireball, except for single targets. Even then, its an instant.

3/1/2010 Each target you choose must be different.

Other than that, great card. Use it in a deck with pyromancer ascension and it will be copied with the kicker paid that many times and X remaining the same I believe.

Great, great spell for red control decks. Been using it in a red white control deck, and combined with Day of Judgment, Martial Coup, Earthquake and Scepter of Dominance it's very, very difficult for opponents to keep an attacking threat on the board.

It also combines very well with Everflowing Chalice (as I'm sure it would with any mana accel - the thing with Everflowing Chalice being that it can be utilised by any colour). It being weaker than Earthquake/Volcanic Fallout/Fireball/Pyroclasm/Banefire early on doesn't matter when you're playing a control deck and making the game last long enough for it to be fully utilised.

This should require no errata or explanation, it's plain English. Anyone who thinks otherwise is using the word "Another" incorrectly: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/another

Yes, you guys are right, it clearly says "another"so that you don't re-target and do stupid damage to something.

And it's clearly AWESOME!!!

ANOTHER target does NOT mean you can go Creature->Player->Creature->Same Player Again.
You choose all the targets at the same time (when you kick it) so ANOTHER means you pick X DIFFERENT targets.
Stop saying you can 1shot people with 10 mana... (Unless they are at 8)

Better than Fireball.. thats too bad, fireball was like my favorite card ever. Ive been modifying my elf deck to produce ridiculous amounts of mana aaand life gain, and hopefully load up a fireball with the mana or twofer my opponent with the sanguine bond would be perfect.
