This lady's insane in EDH. In one game, I took a Sol Ring, a Lightning Greaves, a Caged Sun, and a Mindslaver, and then when I didn't want to invest the mana in anything else, I just started exiling everything else and not casting it so that I wouldn't have to deal with his Memnarch and other scary things.
Nothing like bringing down a $500 deck with a fifty-cent creature.

I loved the expression on my opponent's face in draft when he attacked me with this, searched my deck, and I respond with "I didn't get any artifacts." :D

Lots of silly comments here. Eldrazi are NOT artifacts. It doesn't work with archive trap, as YOU are searching the library, not your opponent.

Potentially devastating.
Even if you don't have the amount or colors to cast whatever you snatch, at the very least they can't either~
Edit:
They clearly had older formats in mind when they crafted her up.
The use of the word 'play' instead of 'cast' allows you to snatch and play their artifact lands.

Cosi's Trickster can pump itself with this card even if opponent does have an equipment card. Just search and mess his deck up and shuffle again! good especially when he use ponder,
Jace, the Mind Sculptor's brain storm effect, or maybe even a vampire deck.

Goes nice with Zendikar for Merfolk. Spreading Seas if they don't play Islands, play a Cosi's Trickster, swing with Thada. Even if they don't have an artifact for you to exile you still force a shuffle causing Cosi to get +1/+1.

This might work in Standard with Spreading Seas against Caw Go. I need to test it, but I can take a blade (Sword of Body and Mind and/or Sword of Feast and Famine) Spreading Seas is also good against Valakut. Let's see how much wrecking this guy does :D

Of importance, you get to "play the card" from the exile zone. Which means you must pay its casting cost to play it. So no easy snag of a Darksteel Colosus.

Omniance: The word 'card' is the key there. If it said Artifact spell, then yes, it would be cast that spell. However, because it refers to the artifact as a card, and not a spell, saying 'play' the card is appropriate.
