Isn't the text on this card misprinted? Shouldn't it read:
"Whenever Thada Adel, Acquisitor deals combat damage to a player, search that player's library for an artifact card and exile it. Then that player shuffles his or her library. Until end of turn, you may cast that card."?

Got two of these in booster packs. Incredibally disappointing. A rare legendary creature that isn't even unblockable, just has isandwalk. It's second ability is rarely going to be useful - I mean, sure, it's good against artifact or equipment decks, but as a multipurpose card it sucks. It's not that common that my opponent is going to have artifacts in their decks.

Really nice to use this with cards like archive trap, especially if you happen to have like 3 on hand... If your opponent doesn't play blue just throw a spreading seas at him/her. It doesn't really matter if your opponent has any artifacts since they have to shuffle their library anyway, which allows you to play your archive traps for free.

I'm gonna use this in my UB deck, especially with all of this Eldrazi stuff coming; I don't want that stuff to even come near me. I think this is gonna be good for blue when Rise hits in April.

It's too bad that Exotic Orchard is rotating out of standard because it seems to pair really well with this in a mono blue deck, especially with scars right around the corner.

If I am attacking with X Acquisitors at a time does my opponent have to shuffle his or her library X amount of times, thereby giving Cosi X +1/+1 counters? If so, that is awesome! And I agree, getting to see every card in their library is an added bonus!

Yes, but unless you're using Mirror Gallery, because they are legendary, you can't have more than one on the battlefield at a time.
Otherwise, yes your idea does work, just not in standard.
