Oh God, there was this one time...
In one turn. ONE. One guy in the 5 way planechase game, who had a semblance anvil out with an artifact, played another one followed by hordes of cheap 2 cost artifacts. It was a Throne of Geth based proliferate infect deck.
He didn't use many lands in it and just blitzed through his deck, using Ichor Rats to poison everyone, then ripped through four artifacts with the throne and some untap stuff, some other cards like Steady Progress, and...
Long story short, the 'Play a spell, draw a card' effect of this had us all on 8 poison counters in one player turn. We didn't manage to kill him before his next turn.

so apparently this is a plane now? Although the mere mention of kamigawa makes me cringe, this card is actually really useful in a planechase game. It makes decks with tons of cheap creature spells ungodly fast- think recycle, but without skipping the draw step and the painful hand size handicap- but also control benefits from this too. You will always have a card in hand, so unless you are completely tapped out your opponent(s) won't be sure if they are safe. I am always happy to walk to minamo, which is something I never would have thought possible for something that is supposed to be from that atrocity known as the kamigawa block.
While all spells benefit from the free cantrip, some spells just get awesome. Terminate becomes one of the nastiest kill spells in the game, as its cheap pricing means you will most likely be able to play the other terminate you drew. Recoil bec... (see all)
