For five mana and double-red, i don't see what problem Wizards had to let this card not simply destroy any land.

Not a very good card. It would have been nice if it were a Trap with a conditional cost too. Maybe "If an opponent had both an Artifact and Land enter the battlefield this turn.. pay RR"

With Liquimetal Coating you can potentially destroy two lands for 5 mana..

With caw-go in the spotlight now, this card has slightly more potential.

Ouch. I didn't know LD could get weaker.

Underrated, this card is much like Relic Crush.

They should've just reprinted Fissure.

"Really? why bother putting LD into this set if this is what we get?"

It's not meant to enable straight LD strategies, but rather to take out utility lands (I think one or two were printed in Zendikar block). In a slower format, like Zendikar Limited or EDH, it's not a bad utility spell; it's card advantage in red.

Gatherer works better in the Companion app!
