does the permanent hit the gaveyard and THEN come to your side? if so, combo w/ other eldrazi, sheoldred and Massacre wurm.
How do you like them Apples?
also, it combos great with cards that make your opponent sacrirfice non-token permanents

So, in a match of EDH, if an opponent were to sacrifice their general it technically goes to the graveyard from play then as EDH rule state if a commander dies or is exiled you can return it to the command zone. My question is, does It That Betray's second ability take effect before the general would be put back into the command zone or would the option of placing it back into the command zone take priority over the second ability?

The best Eldrazi that's compatible with Exhume, that's for sure. The art is also awesome; this guy also has the best face of all the Eldrazi, and possibly of all creatures ever. The floating horns/antennae seal the deal.

Would work killingly with Liliana of the Veil's ultimate..
for massing decks, just split into 2 roughly equal halves, you get all the creatures in one pile.
