You can ensure the discard with Eight-and-a-Half-Tails, but even than it's still not such a great deal.

Eight-and-a-Half-Tails wouldn't work, but Painter's Servant would... there's so many better combos with that card though.

It's a cool card. Would be improved if it wasn't color specific and a bit cheaper. With cards like Rhystic Study kicking about it'd be cool if something like this could be a Black equivalent. Also like the artwork. I probably wouldn't play it without some serious Dark Ritual shenanigans.
