"Wizards and evolution made this giant retarded." Better flavor text.

Does wizards print print this sort of card specifically for the limited format?
That's a genuine question, I've always wondered that when I see overpriced cmcs but low color requirements on cards that do nothing fancy and would seem to best function as curve fillers.
Also, I do find it amusing that in worldwake's immediate predecessor there is a card with the same stats and cost but with flying and vigilance tacked on as well. Power decreep?

C'mon people, this was never meant to be a constructed bomb.
Look at its size, its cost, and its rarity; its meant to be a limited card.
I would have prefered it at 3W, but it still gets the job done.

Well, just another junk common.
Yet just by judging the artwork i would have supposed this to be a green or red Lizard (Warrior). But a white Giant?
When realizing what a poor alternation of Shepherd of the Lost this is, one might even get to think whether Wizards orginally planned to make this card red and switched to its current state when the art was already done...

Compare Shepherd of the Lost.
It's not a favorable comparison.
I might play these in Limited if I have to, but I don't think I'll be happy about it.

it's a lizard... with freakishly small feet.

It's not Shepherd of the Lost because it's a common. 3/3 first strike is very useful in limited, and if my 5 slot is open I'll gladly play this. Even if it's not in color, sometimes, which is nice.

It actually does hold its ground pretty decently in limited. Especially if you can get a Spidersilk Net on it.

Ichorix: I'm pretty sure they've said that they print some cards specifically for limited at some point. I know they've said that they actually print MOST of their cards with limited "in mind".
