A Jund-colored insect wizard. Who drew cards. The color pie sure wasn't focused back in Legends, now was it? At least it makes for interesting legendaries, even though most of them are awful.

I play Xira as an EDH general, she's great. She draws cards whenever you have extra mana, or when you absolutely need whatever you tutored for with Liliana Vess. Today I saved a Life from the Loam by using her to dredge it in response to a Relic of Progenitus activation... plus she has flying so can chump the bigger generals if you need another turn to find an answer. I'd definitely recommend her for EDH!
(also come on, who can resist a Jund-colored Insect Wizard Jushi Apprentice? :D)

Ah, Xira Arien, the Jund-colored insect wizard who loves to dress up. I play her as my commander and most people don't even know she exists, which lets you lie low until you can get your deck going. The fact that her card draw is targetable allows some politics (hey, wanna draw that card you tutored?), and gives you something to do with her when you've got spare mana.
Some simple combos: Seedborn Muse for a card every turn, and Swarmyard for a regenerating aerial blocker.

Wow. I just found my new general. Oh Legends, just when I'm about to give up on you...

Drawing in Jund colours isn't common: Why do you think Harmonize or Necropotence are played a lot?
Although, versus her different coloured 3-cost counterpart, Angus Mackenzie, I'd say he's better for a 3-coloured and costed ability.

@ longwinded:
She's an Insect as that is what she was in the second Legend cycle of books. However, in those, she was an assassin, so maybe that's not where they got it from :P
As has been mentioned, she is card advantage in a colour combination not known for it.
I like her.
4/5, but a good deal of that is because her dress is absolutely magnificent.

I can't believe three things:
1) This card has been titled an "Insect Wizard."
2) I now know that there is a Jund-colored Insect Wizard.
3) This is a card from Legends that isn't horrid and unlikable.

Ths would make a really odd EDH commander choice.
