Maybe one day he'll grow into his clothes.

I'm surprised no one has commented on the flavor text... a little odd:
Ramirez DePietro is a most flamboyant pirate. Be careful not to believe his tall tales, especially when you ask his age.

I can't wait for Duel Decks: Pirates vs. Ninjas.

This card is based on a D&D character of Robin Herbert, the co-designer of the Legends set.

Before i read the flavor text, i thought this was a gal.

Until now i didn't even notice Phil Foglio has already been around since Legends.
Phil Foglio's unique style isn't so blatant in this one, instead it captures the apparently timeless flair of those very old cards in a special way.
If it wasn't for him and his cool artwork, this card would probably have a derservedly worse rating.
Because let's be honest, six mana (of which half of them require a certain color) for a legendary 4/3 first striker is pretty terrible.

Admittedly, he does beat Lord of Tresserhorn. If he can't regenerate, that is.

I'd like to see him back someday in the future.
Name, artwork, and flavor text just make him appear so damn iconic despite the crappy stats.

I think this guy needs to be made a planeswalker, He's just that flavorful of a pirate.

I attempted to translate the name, the best I could do is: "Wise ruler of the rowboat." LOL!

Not a very practical card but it sure would look good on the battle field.

The fact that this is common is kind of hilarious in limited.
