Somehow I don't think this guy imagined Emeria to be so...tentacly

15 life is cool though.

This card has worked fairly well for me in a Geist of Saint Traft EDH deck. I certainly don't mind gaining a reliable four life each turn alongside the life I gain from the other fliers I play.

Sorry it doesn't work that way. When it ever an ability says "When CARDNAME enters the battlefield" CARDNAME will always be referring to itself and not another creature with the same name.

This is how a kicked Rite of Replication goes:
First casting Archon of Redemption gives you 3 life since it counts itself.
Then hopefully next turn (unless you have access to 14 mana. You cast a kicked Rite of Replication targeting Archon of Redemption which gives you 5 copies of the Archon.
Then all abilities are put into the stack.
You gain 3 life (Archon's Power) times 6 (Number of Archon's) which is 18 for each Archon that entered the battlefield this turn (5 copies)
This mean you gain 18 life per copy of Archon which came into play with rite (5)
This would gain you a total of 90 life not 150 not counting the 3 life from the original Archon of Redemption.

At this point you'd have a really big grin on your face especially if you have a autoca... (see all)

Targeting this card with a kicked Rite of Replication did great things for me in the pre release tourny :)

White flying deck + this card = yes please.

It seems like every flyer that white has now sucks compared to the overpriced Baneslayer. Too bad a lot of good white flyers get lousy ratings because of that freakin' card.

Even alone, it's a 3/4 flyer for 5 that heals you for 3 when it comes into play. In a mainly flying deck it can be a solid way to rack up life.
